Successful Completion of Sharjah Gas Distribution Project

Lootah BC Gas has successfully completed engineering, procurement and construction, system and customer commissioning on the first natural gas network in the United Arab Emirates for the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA).
The Project was carried out in 3 phases.
Phase1: Included design and construction including take-offs from an existing transmission line (75 Bar), pressure regulating stations with odorization and metering capabilities feeding an intermediate pressure (4 Bar) network. The work included approximately 170 kilometers of mains and conversion of residential and commercial customers.
Phase II: Expansion of the system built during Phase I to provide gas service to additional 18,000 customers in apartments and 15,000 in individual villas. The gas network constructed included 500 kilometers of PE mains and 200 kilometers of service lines to buildings.
Phase III: Expansion of the system adding an additional 10,000 customers.
