Green Car Program – Sustainability Program

The ‘Green Car Program’ has seen a great progression since inception starting from conversion of part of the company fleet to Compressed Natural Gas, followed by the use of hybrid cars and high mileage vehicles and most recently, electric cars, making Dubai the first city in the Gulf to license electric cars. The Group has further strengthened the Program through MoU with the RTA in 2009 to explore mobility options for the staff members.

Lootah BCGas and QEnergy Corporate Social Responsibility

Lootah BCGas and QEnergy has always given highest priority to the health and safety of employees and consumers and continues to improve and keep abreast of the newest technologies and practices with regard to safety to ensure all personnel are trained and equipped to deal with any incident that might arise on a gas system. We have always been ahead of statutory regulations as far as safety is concerned where safety is not just about following regulations but is a way of life.

Consumer Safety

We have introduced a mobile emergency response team at Palm Jumeirah in liaison with Emirates Gas, JAFZA and Civil Defence. That includes a Mobile Emergency Vans (MEV) available 24 hours on site with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to handle any gas emergency, such that the time taken for an emergency response is in line with minimums compared to any other gas utility in the world.
